Roma’s first chance to win came in the 16th minute. But Sardar Azmoun hit just a little out of bounds.
Then, in the 24th minute, the visiting team sent the ball into the goal from Sardar Azmoun’s beautiful somersault shot. But couldn’t because the referee considered it a dangerous play.
It was Brighton’s side that took the lead 1-0 in the 37th minute. Danny Welbeck had a chance to set up the fort and spin. With his right in front of the penalty area and the ball floated cleanly into the net.
The second half had different chances, starting with the Rome Wolves missing a shot. Leonardo Spinazzola’s shot hitting the post and Simon Adingra’s header to save Miles Svilar unfortunately.
Brighton continued in the 71st minute. When Danny Welbeck made a cross for Jan Paul van Hecke to squeeze in until he scored a header. But the ball went out of bounds and out of the back.
